Information We Collect

Account Information: Name, email, phone number, profile picture, and account preferences.

Verification Information: For riders, we collect vehicle information, driver's license details, and verification photos. This information is required for platform security and compliance.

Privacy-First Identity Verification: We verify your identity using your National Identification Number (NIN), but we never store your raw NIN number in our database. We only store verified information from the verification process: your name, date of birth, phone number, photo, and gender. Your actual NIN is never stored, demonstrating our commitment to protecting your personal information and ensuring your NIN remains secure.

Delivery Information: Package details, photos, pickup and dropoff locations, delivery status, and related communications.

Location Data: We collect location data during active deliveries for GPS tracking. Riders' locations are shared with senders and receivers only during active deliveries.

Payment Information: Payment details are processed through secure payment partners. We do not store full payment card information on our servers.

Device Information: We collect device information to provide and improve our services, including your device's operating system (iOS or Android), app version, device model (optional), and push notification tokens. This information helps us deliver notifications, ensure app compatibility, and troubleshoot technical issues.

Usage Data: We collect information about how you use our platform, including app interactions, feature usage, and performance data.

How We Use Your Information

Service Delivery: To facilitate deliveries, match senders with riders, process payments, and provide tracking services.

Verification & Security: To verify user identities, prevent fraud, and ensure platform security.

Communication: To send delivery updates, notifications, OTP codes, and respond to your inquiries.

Dispute Resolution: To resolve disputes using GPS data, photos, and other evidence.

Improvement: To analyze usage patterns, improve our service, and develop new features.

Legal Compliance: To comply with legal obligations and respond to legal requests.

Information Sharing

With Other Users: We share necessary information between senders, riders, and receivers to facilitate deliveries. This includes names, phone numbers, locations (during active deliveries), and package photos.

Service Providers: We share information with trusted service providers who help us operate our platform, including payment processors, SMS providers, and cloud hosting services.

Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights and safety.

Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale, your information may be transferred to the new entity.

Location Data

Location data is collected and shared only during active deliveries for GPS tracking purposes. Riders' locations are visible to senders and receivers only while a delivery is in progress.

You can control location sharing through your device settings and privacy preferences. However, location sharing is mandatory for riders during active deliveries to enable tracking.

We do not track your location when you're not actively using the platform for deliveries.

Photo & Media

Photos uploaded to our platform are used for verification, tracking, and dispute resolution. Package photos are visible to receivers via tracking links, even before a rider is matched.

Verification photos (NIN, driver's license) are stored securely and used only for identity verification purposes. These photos are not shared with other users.

You retain ownership of photos you upload but grant us license to use them for platform operations, verification, and dispute resolution.

Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption, secure servers, and access controls.

Payment information is processed through secure payment partners and is not stored on our servers. We never see or store your full payment card details.

While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but we take all reasonable precautions.

Your Rights

Access: You can access and update your account information through the app settings.

Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and data, subject to legal and operational requirements (e.g., we may retain certain information for dispute resolution or legal compliance).

Correction: You can update most information through your account settings. Note that verified information (like name after NIN verification) may be locked for security reasons.

Privacy Settings: You can control certain privacy preferences through the app, including profile visibility and data sharing options.

Opt-Out: You can opt out of marketing communications while still receiving essential service notifications.

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. After account deletion, we may retain certain information for legal, dispute resolution, or operational purposes.

Delivery records, photos, and transaction data are retained for dispute resolution and legal compliance purposes, even after account deletion.

Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete such information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.

Continued use of our service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
