By accessing and using Kilo, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Kilo is a delivery platform that connects senders with riders for same-day package delivery. We facilitate the connection but are not a party to the delivery contract between senders and riders.
Our service includes: delivery matching, price negotiation, photo verification, GPS tracking, OTP verification, payment processing, and dispute resolution.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
You must be at least 18 years old to use our service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in fraudulent activity.
For Riders: You must complete verification including vehicle information, driver's license (if applicable), and NIN verification to accept deliveries. Note: We verify your identity using your NIN but never store your raw NIN number in our database. BVN verification is required to withdraw earnings.
For Senders: Basic account verification is required. Additional verification may be required for certain types of deliveries.
We reserve the right to request additional verification at any time to ensure platform security.
Photo Verification: Photos are required at creation, pickup, and delivery. These photos are used for verification and dispute resolution.
OTP Verification: OTP codes are required at pickup and delivery to ensure package security. Receivers must provide the correct OTP to receive packages.
Price Negotiation: Senders set initial prices. Riders can send counter-offers. Senders choose which offer to accept. All negotiations are transparent.
Time Restrictions: Service hours are from 5:00 AM to 10:30 PM for safety and security. We don't operate before 5:00 AM to avoid security risks, and end at 10:30 PM to ensure all deliveries are completed safely within the same day. All riders are automatically set offline at 10:30 PM. Deliveries must be completable before 10:30 PM.
Delivery Fees: Paid by sender or receiver as specified during delivery creation. Payment is processed through our payment partners.
Payment on Delivery (POD): If enabled, receivers must pay before seeing the delivery OTP. Payment is processed securely through our platform.
Rider Earnings: Earnings are available after delivery completion. BVN verification is required to withdraw. We reserve the right to hold funds in case of disputes.
All payments are subject to our fees and applicable taxes. Prices are displayed in local currency.
You may not use our service to deliver illegal items, dangerous goods, perishables without proper handling, or items that violate our Restricted Items Policy. See our Restricted Items page for details.
We reserve the right to refuse service for any item we deem inappropriate or unsafe. Violations may result in account suspension or termination.
We use automated systems including GPS tracking, photo matching, and AI to resolve disputes. Most disputes are resolved automatically within minutes.
If automated resolution is not possible, our team reviews cases manually. We reserve the right to make final decisions on disputes based on available evidence.
Our dispute resolution process is designed to be fair and transparent. All parties are given opportunity to provide evidence and respond to claims.
Kilo facilitates connections between senders and riders but is not responsible for the actual delivery of packages. We are not liable for lost, damaged, or delayed packages except as provided in our dispute resolution process.
Our liability is limited to the fees paid for the specific delivery in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Riders are independent contractors, not employees of Kilo. Senders enter into delivery contracts directly with riders.
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.
By using our service, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in our Privacy Policy, including location data for tracking purposes.
All content on the Kilo platform, including logos, designs, text, and software, is owned by Kilo or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission.
User-generated content, including photos and messages, remains your property but you grant us license to use it for platform operations, verification, and dispute resolution.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms, fraudulent activity, or any other reason we deem necessary to protect the platform.
You may terminate your account at any time. Outstanding obligations, including pending deliveries and payments, must be completed before termination.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes when possible.
New features, including the Delivery Gateway API, will be subject to additional terms that will be provided when those features become available.
